HOW DO I...
Obtain Telephone Advice?
For some matters, a doctor or nurse may be able to advise you by telephone. Urgent queries will be dealt with by the on-call doctor on the same day. The receptionist will take your telephone number and your call will be returned
as soon as possible.
It would be helpful if you could tell the receptionist any times when you will not be available to take the return call.
Non-urgent or routine queries for specific members of the practice team will be passed to the relevant member of staff and will be dealt with on their return to the practice. You will be informed if they are due to be absent from the practice for more then a few days.
HOW
DO I...
Obtain Home Visits?
Home Visits During The Day
Please try to come to the surgery
whenever possible. We are better able to discuss your problem and examine you in
ideal conditions.
If you are too ill to attend the surgery and really need a home visit, please
ring 0121 628 2345 before 11.00am if possible. This helps in the planning of the visits and
gives us a chance to ensure continuity of care. The on-call doctor may wish to talk to you and
offer advice and, if the doctor feels a visit is necessary, will authorise a home visit.
Visits are usually done between 1.00 and 4.00pm and we cannot guarantee which doctor will call.
